Resort Profile For Villars

A good all-round resort, lots of sunshine and great for families

Villars is a charming, well established resort, ideal for families and mixed ability groups. The ski area is linked with Les Diablerets and provides 125km of mainly beginner and intermediate friendly slopes. Most runs feature either wide cruising pistes or beautiful tree-lined slopes, both with spectacular views over the Rhone Valley. However, it’s sunny aspect and low altitude can lead to unreliable snow cover. This said, Villars benefits from the Diablerets glacier, providing guaranteed (if limited) skiing.

The resort is a pretty village on a sunny ledge overlooking the Rhone Valley and the surrounding Vaudois Mountains. The main drag hosts most of the shops and gives Villars a lively, bustling feel. Most of the accommodation is chalet based with few large hotels, adding the the old school ambiance.
