Resort Profile For Passo Tonale
A high, sunny snow sure purpose built resort with a reasonable ski area linked with more varied terrain
Situated, high up at the western end of the Val di Sole, Passo Tonale’s ski area is stretched over a wide, fairly barren area but it has excellent slopes for beginners and intermediates. The pistes are uncrowded and well maintained. More advanced skiers may find it limited but some challenging runs can be found at Pontedilegno. The village lacks traditional Alpine charm but it has all the facilities that a skiing focused destination requires. The bars, restaurants and accommodation are generally well priced, in keeping with the overall value for money pitch of the resort.
