Resort Profile For Livigno
An atmospheric resort, combining value for money with high altitude, snow sure skiing
A remote resort set high in the Valtellina Valley near the Swiss boarder, Livigno has a lot going for it, including duty free status. The slopes are spread over three separate ski areas – Carosello, Costaccia and Mottolino – providing varied, ideally suited to beginners and intermediates. Most slopes are mainly wide open with limited challenges for advanced skiers. The resort is made up of three small villages which have been merged in to one linear resort. Despite the layout, Livigno has an excellent atmosphere and is well served by a free bus service. There is plenty of good value accommodation.
