Resort Profile For La Thuile
Good value, good views and great ski area
A high snow sure resort, La Thuile enjoys spectacular scenery with great views of the Matterhorn, Monte Rosa and Mont Blanc. The ski area is linked with La Rosiere in France and consists of 150km of mainly beginner and intermediate friendly slopes. The village has a good atmosphere and is popular with families and school groups. Split it to two distinct areas, it is a mix of traditional and modern. The “old village” is situated across the river from the lifts is attractive and traditional with decent restaurants and bars. The new, and it has to be said, ugly development – the Planibel – is at the foot of the lifts and is home to most bars, restaurants and accommodation.
