A picturesque setting, hosting a charming resort with pretty cobbled streets, good bars and restaurants

Courmayeur ski resort in Italy lies at the foot of Mont Blanc at the top of the Aosta Valley. As you would expect, the scenery is spectacular. The ski area, which is situated on the opposite side of the valley, is limited but does offer some interesting runs for mainly intermediate skiers. The village is one of the most attractive in the Alps, with pedestrianised cobbled streets hosting excellent restaurants, boutiques and bars. There is also a good range of accommodation both in the village and some in the surrounding valley.
