Resort Profile For Les Arcs

High quality, varied terrain with something for everyone

Les Arcs ski resort is made up of four modern, purpose built resorts, each with its own distinctive feel. Functional and friendly but lacking the impact of a central resort. The ski area is vast. Intermediates will enjoy the extent of the blue and red pistes. While there is plenty of varied on and off-piste for advanced skiers. Beginners are also well served with 12 nursery areas and many gentle wide open blues. Les Arcs forms one half of the Paradiski Ski Area with La Plagne. Well worth a day trip but you will find plenty to keep you occupied locally.

Resort Pros

  • Huge something for everyone ski area.
  • Great for mixed ability groups.
  • Excellent tree-lined runs for bad weather days.
  • Cable car link to La Plagne.
  • Car free environment

Resort Cons

  • Slopes get very crowded in high season, especially February half-term.
  • Flat linking runs pistes in the middle of the resort.
  • No Green runs, although compensated with plenty of wide gentle Blues.
  • Lack of a main resort centre can impact on the apres ski atmosphere.

Best For

  • Mixed ability families.
  • Intermediates.

Worst For

  • Party Goers.
  • Non-skiers

SlopeSeeker Tips

Make use of the day pass option to visit La Plagne. You don't need the whole week as there is enough to keep you interested with the local ski area. Try the combined red-black L'Aiguille Rouge piste for - one of the world's longest pistes.
