Resort Profile For Lech
A stylish resort with an exclusive feel
Lech and Zurs have a well earned reputation as the most exclusive resorts in Austria with a selection of 5 star hotels and a predominance of well-heeled Germans. The après-ski consists of fine dining and more sophisticated bars pitched at older clientele than the likes of St Anton. The ski area is vast, with 250km of pistes and access to the neighbouring resorts of St Anton and Zurs. Good for beginners and intermediates but local slopes lack much of a challenge for advanced skiers and boarders. There is a staid/civilised feel to the relatively uncrowded pistes. It does, however, have one of the best funparks in Europe.
Resort Pros
- Full of Austrian ambience.
- Plenty of ski-in, ski-out.
- Sunny, relatively uncrowded pistes.
- Ideal for beginners and intermediates.
- Great off-piste, locally and at St Anton.
- Good connections to St Anton.
Resort Cons
- Expensive.
- Limited on-piste for advanced skiers.
Best For
- Intermediates.
- Snowboarders.
Worst For
- Advanced skiers.
- Party Goers.
- Those on a budget.
